As I look through Alesana posts, I realize this one probably isn’t on Tumblr. At the Philly Rock Yourself To Sleep 2011 date, Shawn stood up on the rail and leaned over the crowd. I guess someone tried to pull his hair, because he yelled NO harshly at us, and I was suddenly so fearful. But as he looked down on us, arms flew up all around my head, and mine got stuck around my throat. I felt helpless, until he looked down and just sang Hymn For The Shameless. “At peace,” “in love,” “perfect moment,” and *drools* don’t even begin to describe how I felt in that pit. Having my hero personally sing to me (a full verse mind you, not just a line or words, a verse) in a tunnel of sweaty arms that connected us. It means so much.
